The shape of a typical meeting day

Recovery meetings follow the rhythm of ordinary life, so there's almost always one that matches the hour you have free. Across a normal day the schedule tends to break into three waves:

• Morning meetings — early groups before work, some as early as 6:30 or 7:00am, a steady way to start the day sober.
• Afternoon meetings — lunch-hour "nooners" and mid-day groups that break up the stretch between morning and evening.
• Evening meetings — the busiest block by far, mostly between 5:00 and 9:00pm, after work and dinner.
